In the parallel dimension opened by the Behelit, Griffith, whose survival was hopeless, offers the demons the Band of the Hawk as a human sacrifice to achieve his dream.

Almost the entire band falls prey to the demons, and Casca is raped by Griffith, who has transformed thanks to the God Hand. Guts loses his eye and arm and is left for dead. It is then that the Skull Knight bursts into the parallel dimension and escapes with Guts and Casca.

Guts massacres the spirits of the dead attracted by his demon mark and vows revenge! But the spirits are then attracted by Casca's mark!!
